Three distinct responsibilities in every climate project
In well-governed environmental projects, no single step replaces the others. First, project teams collect operational data in the field. Second, internal coordinators review those records for completeness and consistency. Third, independent Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs) and registries evaluate the submitted evidence.
Software platforms help teams manage the first two stages and package records cleanly for the third—but software itself does not issue carbon credits or replace an accredited independent audit.
Why role separation matters inside the workspace
When field officers, project managers, quality reviewers, and external auditors share a platform, each role needs appropriate permissions. Field teams need simple capture tools; reviewers need clear queues to flag or approve entries; visiting auditors need read-only access to inspect the final evidence package.
Designing these boundaries directly into the workspace protects data integrity and gives every stakeholder confidence in how project records were prepared.
